Pilot episode for "P.U. United," a comedy television series.
Are you bemused by the current trend in reality supernatural tv shows? If so, now
is the time to spoof this trend into cosmic (and comic) proportions.
THE LADY IN WHITE is a 30 minute pilot episode, with series proposal, for a tv comedy series
about a blundering bunch of would-be ghost-busters determined to achieve fame and fortune by filming ghosts for reality tv. After
all, how hard can it be?
The team is led
by Karl, who enlists his cousin Larry and tarty Mo, the girl of his dreams. They are joined by Euphemia, who is obsessed by
the paranormal and bores her teammates sensless with her psychic techno-babble.
Armed with tips of ghostly hauntings and their ghost-sniffing chihuahua, they stumble along in hot pursuit. And despite
their bumbling, they see plenty of ghosts. But the precious film that would make them famous always eludes them as the tricky
ghosts have ideas of their own.
ONE: THE LADY IN WHITE
Karl, Mo, Larry,
and Euphemia wind up in a haunted mansion to film their first ghost. The ghost apprears but is camera shy. They force the
ghost's presence with a seance and with the help of their ghost hound chihuahua, they get some video footage of the elusive
Lady in White. But the ghost tricks the film from them and locks them out of the mansion. In frustration, Larry reveals
his own brief brush with after-life, and Euphemia finds herself intrigued.

2: IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED...
Karl goes back to the mansion
to try to get the film and runs into Mo. They see a billowing white shape in the bushes and head towards it, but it turns
out to be Larry and Euphemia under a sheet having an encounter of a different sort. When a strange gardener refuses to let
them into the mansion, they break in to retrieve their film. But the film is gone, having been removed by the gardiner
who they now realize was no gardiner but another ghost who has removed the film right under their noses.
Episode 3: A GHOST OF A TOAST
The team return to
the mansion in combat gear. They're not about to let these ghosts outsmart them. But the ghosts have gone, taking the
film with them. The team end up drowning their sorrows in a haunted pub, the Prancing Pony. More tricky spirits show
up, but only reveal themselves when the team downs another drink. They have a fine drunken time with the ghosts, but the only
thing they capture for all their efforts is a massive hangover.
4: THE COLOR OF LOVE
The team returns from another mission, once
again in failure. Euphemia wants to quit, and blames herself for their failure. Do the ghosts think she is boring? Karl knows he
is sunk with Euphemia, and in an effort to keep her on the team, he coaxes Mo to take Euphemia for a make-over. They
go to get their colors done, and with the help of a camera-shy ghost, they wind up having the color of their auras re-tuned.
Euphemia cheers up and agrees to stay with the team, giving Larry another chance to win her heart.
Episode 5: WHAT A GIRL WANTS
and Euphemia have problems. He thinks she only likes him as her psychic love toy. To keep the team together, Mo and Karl try
to fix the romance but make a mess of it. While trying to film a new ghost, the ghost makes Larry and Euphemia see the truth
that they love each other deeply. Still, the ghost gets away without giving them any footage on film.
Episode 6: TOGETHER AGAIN
Larry and Euphemia get
engaged. They double their efforts to film a ghost so they can pay for Ehphemia to have the huge wedding of her dreams. But
another sure-fire ghost manages to tease and elude them. With Karl and Mo's help, Larry and Euphemia pull off a modest but
meaningful wedding. When they get their photos back, they see the shots are full of all the ghosts they've met, toasting the
happy couple. So Euphemia really did get the big wedding of her dreams after all.
