My Biography
After spending ten years as an arctic geological explorer, based in Fairbanks, Alaska, I moved south to the west coast. While pioneering a new overseas adoption program (in Thailand), I met a woman involved in Romanian adoption. I wrote a book on her story, titled:

And so began my love affair with writing.
As we moved around the west coast and then on to Europe, I took on a variety of jobs that allowed me to broaden my experiences.  I have been at times a karate instructor, professor, horse rancher, radio show host, film producer, and art therapist for the terminally ill.
Through it all, writing has remained a driving passion. After earning a doctorate in writing, spending five years delving into all aspects of the writing process, I decided I would rather continue writing than teach it. This has allowed me to plunge deeper into the emotional heart of good story-telling, which I believe is the foundation for any really great book or film to stand upon.
I enjoy collaboration and thrive on impossible deadlines. I have written for CHASE (A MANGA division based in London), Feeling Spooky Productions, Midian Films, Tuff TV, and a few others. I particularly like to stretch my writing range, across a broad spectrum of genres, and am endlessly fired up by 'the good fight', to produce words and stories that stir the soul, whatever the genre, theme, or slant.
I continue to paint as well, and have found new outlets to express my art. Whether words or images, my aim is to create works that speak to the human experience, feed my creative furnace, and perhaps bring a smile to someone else.
